Navigating Campus Event Policies and Permitting 

Join Business Affairs and Student Life for an interactive lunch-and-learn workshop kicking off the “UF Space & You” informational series. This session will provide an overview of Use of University Space policies and how UF property throughout the State of Florida may be utilized. 

Participants will take a deep dive into policy and engage in hands-on learning experiences designed to strengthen their knowledge to remain compliant when planning events, reserving and managing space, navigating required permitting processes in GatorConnect, understanding registered student organization classifications, working with third parties and mitigating risk to your attendees and the university.

Registration is open to UF employees and registered students. Seating is limited and expected to fill quickly. Please register by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026. 

A lunch buffet will be provided by Palm & Pine Catering. Indicate dietary restrictions or allergies in the event registration when prompted.  

Doors open at 11 a.m., and the workshop will begin promptly at noon.
