Business Affairs Technical Services (BATS) is a unit designed to support Business Affairs departments. Services provided include website design and development, data-based web application development, and enterprise application support as well as software acquisition consulting. Environmental Health and Safety

Emergency Management

The University of Florida Department of Emergency Management (UFDEM) is tasked with creating a culture of emergency preparedness and response across the University. Facilities Services

Facilities Services supports the university in an ongoing pursuit of excellence, by maintaining preeminent facilities for a preeminent university. Facilities Services employs more than 900 staff responsible for maintaining E&G and Health Center space at UF. Services include building maintenance; preventative maintenance; heating and air conditioning repairs; landscaping and grounds maintenance; refuse collection and recycling; housekeeping services; road maintenance; campus-wide utility distribution and more. Learn More


Physical Security

Planning, Design and Construction

The Planning, Design and Construction Department is responsible to the Vice President of Business Affairs for the planning, design and construction of all physical facilities of the University of Florida and the management of its space and physical resources. Learn More


Small Business and Supplier Diversity

The Small Business and Supplier Diversity Department is responsible for overseeing the University’s Supplier Diversity Program which focuses on ensuring equal access for Small/HUB Zone/Minority/Small Disadvantaged/Veteran/Service-Disabled Veteran/& Women-Owned businesses, by providing them equal opportunity to compete for procurement and contracting opportunities at the University. The department works with the various colleges and departments at the University to increase awareness and to help identify opportunities for small businesses.
