Carrie Bush
Assistant Vice President, Admin/External Operations
Dr. Carrie Blanchard Bush has a dual appointment in the Office of Government and Community Relations. Carrie’s professional background includes overseeing intergovernmental affairs for two municipalities, serving as the director of research and public policy for a statewide research foundation, teaching undergraduate and graduate students as an assistant professor of public administration, and leading operational initiatives at the University of Florida.
Carrie received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Miami, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Miami, and a Ph.D. in public administration and policy from Florida State University. Carrie has also served the Gainesville community as a member of the Alachua County Public Schools Half Cent Tax Oversight Committee and the Gainesville Community Reinvestment Area Advisory Board.
