Staff Spotlight: Frank Barone

Bio: Frank Barone is a Double Gator, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physics in 1988 and an M.A.T. in Mathematics in 1991. On top of those degrees from UF, Frank was also a part of UF’s Painting program in the College of Fine Arts which has become one of his primary hobbies outside of work. Frank’s inspiration for painting these days comes from observing daily life and he focuses his work on landscapes and the human figure.
What is an identity you’re proud to share?
“I am a painter. I try to spend a lot of my time outside of work painting. I primarily focus my works on observations from life, so the paintings themselves usually revolve around landscapes and the human figure.”
What does your role entail?
“I am currently a Computer Programmer Analyst. With that comes the development of new applications, but I also help manage the textbook adoption website and UF’s postage billing system..”
What is your favorite part about working at UF?
“My favorite part about working at UF is the comradery and team spirit of my colleagues as Business Affairs Technical Services.”
