What is an identity you’re proud to share?

“I got involved with Rotary about 10 years ago and it is such a rewarding experience giving back to our community and even participating in global service projects. I have served as President of my club, The Rotary Club of Gainesville, and am currently serving as an Assistant Governor for our Rotary District, which means I serve as a liaison between the Gainesville area Rotary and Rotaract Clubs (8 in total) and the District Governor.”

What does your role entail?

“I oversee and provide strategic direction for the team at the O’Connell Center. I also manage communications, and community relations, handle contracts, recruit events to the Center and oversee our auxiliary budget. I consider myself the professional meeting attender for the building :).”

What is your favorite part about working at UF?

“My favorite part is working with our student employees as they become leaders, then seeing where they end up and hearing how their work experience at the Center impacted their journey. Each month we have a “Life After the Dome” segment in our employee newsletter that highlights an O’Connell Center alumni and it always makes me smile.”

Fun fact about you:

“I am a wine enthusiast and have had the opportunity to travel to multiple wine regions in the United States and abroad to taste and study wine. Practice makes perfect!”
