UF Space & You: More Than a Reservation
Understanding Your Unit’s Responsibility for University Space
Managing University space is more than maintaining a reservation calendar. Colleges and units entrusted with University space throughout the state of Florida have a responsibility to ensure that space is managed and used in accordance with University regulations and policies.
Business Affairs invites UF employees responsible for managing, scheduling, or overseeing University space to this interactive session focused on the responsibilities that come with managing space on behalf of the University. This session may be particularly beneficial for college and unit leadership, space coordinators, and employees who oversee room and space reservations.
Participants will gain a better understanding of:
- University space and user classifications
- Responsibilities of colleges and units managing University space
- Determining who may use University space
- Space reservations and event permitting requirements
- Registered Student Organization (RSO) use of University space
- Third-party and commercial use of University space
